Aladdin and the King of Thieves was the next (and final) sequel, released direct-to-video on August 13, 1996. It's the wedding of the century -- Aladdin and Jasmine are finally getting married, and all of Agrabah is celebrating! But the festivites are brought crashing down when the legendary Forty Thieves raid the wedding. After a hand-to-hand fight between Aladdin and the King of Thieves, the thieves make their escape.
When Iago questions the object that the King of Thieves was after, they discover that it is an oracle, a medium that holds a divine being who knows all. Aladdin doesn't think the oracle could help him since he doesn't have one question but a million questions about his past. Then the oracle says that those questions can be answered by his father, who Aladdin has never met and thought was dead.
After some long and hard thinking, and some persuasion on Jasmine's part, Aladdin takes off with Abu, Iago and Carpet to follow the Forty Thieves, where the Oracle says his father is "trapped within their world."
What happens when he gets caught by the Forty Thieves? How will his father react when he finds out Aladdin's his son? Will Aladdin and Jasmine finally tie the knot?
Find out.
My personal notes: Wow ... this was great! This certainly was good enough to be released in the theatres, and I kind of wonder why Disney didn't do that. The best part of the movie was Genie's jokes and puns. They are really hilarious, quality that only Robin Williams' return as the Genie could bring. The new songs were great, and they even put in an all new original score. Definitely worth it!
