Sacramento Convention Center, California
Guests: Robert Duncan McNeill (Tom Paris, Voyager), Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres, Voyager), and Michael Dorn (Worf, The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine)
Unfortunately, I was too sleep-deprived from college to remember much of the details that were given during the Q & A session with Robbie and Roxann. Much of the questions that were asked of Michael Dorn had been asked before in a previous convention.
I can tell you, however, that I mustered up the courage to go up to the front and ask them a question: Why did the writers change B'Elanna's age when her father left? In episodes previous to "Lineage," it was established that she was five years old when he left ("Faces") and then changed to six ("Extreme Risk"). In "Lineage," where we got to see some flashbacks to B'Elanna's childhood, she was 12 years old when her father left.
While the answer to why the change from 5 to 6 is still not known, Roxann said that the writers changed B'Elanna's age to 12 because they could not find a six-year-old actress to portray the emotions well enough. (I will refrain from comments at the time being.)
Enjoy the pictures that I was able to take:
Roxann and Robbie field a question from the audience. |
Robbie hands Roxann a dollar from his wallet. |
Roxann listens as Robbie answers a question. |
Robbie and Roxann take another question. |
Isn't this one cute?! Robbie and Roxann pose for a picture together, as per a fan's request. |
Micahel Dorn listens as a fan asks him a question about the final season of DS9. |
My very much prized picture with Robbie! Thanks, Robbie -- I love you! =) |
